Thursday night down at The Aardvark was an incredible evening supporting the launch of Oceanique's new single, ‘Grandmothers Shelf’. We had a night full of powerhouse female singers performing such as Angie Colman, Stacey Ann and Greenpools.

Friday evening at the Indian Ocean Hotel showed us an assortment of pure musical talent, celebrating the latest EP of Indie-Rock outfit Mt Cleverest. The evening was a change to the music I normally listen to, however it was warmly welcomed as I thoroughly enjoyed the sets of Myriad Sun, Tether and Otiuh, adding them straight onto my Spotify playlists.
Here's how it all went down at The Get Down last Saturday night. An array of amazing performances from local talent such as Jack Davies and the Bush Chooks, Young Robin, Mt. Cleverest, Adrian Dzvuke, King Ibis and Bag of Bones.
The boys are back at it, after their last successful launch, Otiuh were at the Indian Ocean Hotel Friday celebrating their latest single 'Daytona Rolling'. Joining them on the night - Ruby May, Servo Flowers, Racka Chachi and The Crab Claw DJ’s that kept the house dancing with groovy tunes in between sets.
Mt. Cleverest shook Mojos on the weekend in celebration of their latest single 'Frank Ocean'. Yet another pumping single from this unique Perth band that will leave you wanting more every time.
It was a stressful leadup to the third instalment of Si Paradiso’s 'Seance Sleepover Club, Vol III', with the weather threatening to cause a cancellation of the main amphitheatre stage acts. Luckily the prayers to the music gods were answered and the rain cleared up in time for the show to go on, celebrating the launch of their new EP ‘Taking it Slow This Time’, Demon Days were joined by other Perth heavyweights in Airline Food, Priscilla, and Your Girl Pho for a spooky evening of music.
After a successful east coast stint celebrating their latest single 'Gum', one of our favourite Jazz/Rap/Soul ensembles Butter rocked Mojos in celebration of their homecoming. Joining them on the night were Kissinger Kruz, Post Depression Makeout Session and Bexx.

Supported by an amazing trio of Material World Orchestra, Cloning and Grace Sanders, the boys of Young Robin put together another amazing show that was excellent from start to finish.
After spending the last few years slowly conquering the world with her raw and empathetic artistry, Stella Donnelly made her long-awaited return to Fremantle this week with the hometown stretch of her national tour – the belated celebration of her debut album Beware of the Dogs. For the first time since expanding her intimate sound into a full-band arrangement, Stella hit the stage of the quickly-thriving Freo.Social, with an eclectic duo of supports in Adrian Dzvuke and inter-staters Jade Imagine.
Saturday night at The Sunshine Harvester Works was a truly unique night, something I’m sure everyone in attendance will not easily forget. Presented by 20 Talk and Across The Road Music, was a showcase of Perth artists and speakers sharing their experiences, struggles and advice with mental health. Featuring their openness and rawness in the beautiful and intimate setting were 20 Talk founders, Great Gable, Lilia, Abbe May, Meg Wheeler, Ellen Oosterbaan and Sara Salt.
