Perth born singer-songwriter and producer Villah is no stranger to workplace bullying. After countless snide remarks by a manager, she felt like she was going crazy after no one would listen to her situation. She felt a hole inside her getting bigger and the constant pressing pain on her chest became harder to ignore. She piled on the pressure to be perfect, resulting in burning out - "my head’s inside itself working hard on an engine that can't keep cool".
Villah recorded this single with producer Luke May at South Lanes Studio, working together to produce an electronic-pop tune about the struggles of maintaining a positive mentality while overcoming your day to day stresses. The chorus lyric “too soon, keep on” perfectly portrays the inner augment we all have with ourselves, leave it for tomorrow or should we keep on stepping forward?

“Villah is soulful and electric, successfully bending raw, honest lyrics with clean synth-pop melodies. I wanted to dance and cry at the same time” - Matt Crowley, MAMF

‘Too Soon’ sucks you in with an ambient and beautiful, vocal driven intro. The track slowly adds more elements into the beautiful soundscape and when it's all brought together in the chorus you can’t help yourself but dance for the remainder of the song.

The single is now available on all streaming platforms with a follow up music video available November 12th via Youtube. The video is filmed by Perth’s Cooper Gordon of Gordonco Visuals and shows some of the mistreatment and situations Villah has overcome in her various hospitality roles that were the fuel to ‘Too Soon’.
