Sartoria is the brainchild of frontman Jacob Sartori and they are breaking onto the scene with their first single release in ‘I Wonder’. Started earlier in the year as a solo project, Sartori realised over the early evolution of the project that he missed the energy and mateship of being in a band. The single launch last weekend was the band’s first show together and they are excited to continue interacting and playing on stage together.
‘I Wonder’ is Sartoria’s debut release and is a step in a more honest direction, “I wrote it during a time of great change in my life and channeled it as a kind of cathartic process”. The song feels like it drifts along sonically, combining elements of classical guitar on top of drawn out indie/surf chords for a rich ambience.
The track was recorded with the help of a friend in Marcus Davidson from Soundcage Studios. Jacob was the performing artist for the recordings and had this to say of the process -”[Marcus] is someone I trust immensely when it comes to working in the studio and the feeling of recording almost every part myself is quite liberating. It gives me the freedom to execute everything I’m hearing in my head and to trial and error parts until we find what works.”
‘I Wonder’ is available now on all streaming platforms. Much like Sartori himself, we will be looking forward to the different flavour each of the musicians will bring to the live show.
