Perth Hip-Hop 7-Piece outfit Racka Chachi continue their run of good form with an anthemic single release in ‘No Island’. Following up on their thought-provoking retro-inspired March release ‘San Pelli’ the hip-hip collective shows off an impressive display of versatility with their newest single ‘No Island’.
The track shows the inspirations of the group, bringing in elements of funk and dance to their hip-hop stylings. It opens with a rich funky guitar riff to ease you in before taking off with the bouncy bassline and drums. Racka Chachi blends the energy of their smooth and upbeat melodies in the instrumental with the heavier themes of mental health, hope, and despair in the lyrics to create a musically rich and catchy groove capped with the anthemic hook ‘trying to be a better man’.
The boys of Racka Chachi have managed to remain productive already releasing a single even with this crazy year we’ve had. Having already postponed the debut of their live series of events ‘OVERFLO’, Racka Chachi are proud to be celebrating the launch of their new single ‘No Island’ at The Sewing Room right in the heart of the city alongside the talented Otiuh, Freehand and Cruz Patterson on Friday August 28th.
