After building their skills with almost a year's worth of shows under their belt, Vacuum Dreamer are proud to debut their first single ‘Little Neon Demon’. The band’s lineup consists of James Cunningham on bass and vocals, Max Barnett on the drums, and guitar duties are taken by Ethan Bellhouse and Sean Leadbetter. The confidence built up over the last year's worth of performances has helped Vacuum Dreamer to get their music to a point where they are ready to share it with the world.
Recorded at Tunafish Recording Studio with the help of Jack Seah (from local legends Airline Food), ‘Little Neon Demon’ mixes wailing and droney shoegaze guitars on top of cavernous post-punk rhythms and then layers crispy falsetto vocals on top to create that unique Vacuum Dreamer sound. A couple of little surprises have made it into the recorded version that are sure to surprise people who’ve seen them play before and keep it fresh.
‘Little Neon Demon’ was successfully launched with local support from Yomi Ship, Didion’s Bible and Freehand at Fremantles Aardvark. The debut is available now on all streaming platforms.
