Kalamunda based alt-pop rockers Dolce Blue are back again with another single, ‘TV’. As part of a break-up, there is the unspoken implication that the dumped has no choice in being broken up with by the dumpee. ‘TV’ is about the dumped party refusing the idea of breaking up, and what is going through the dumpee’s mind during this time.
Written on a sleepless night when she needed to reflect, singer Veronica took the idea to her bandmates Daniel (bass), Brody (drums) and Lachy (guitar) who helped her translate it all into a complete and blissful musical experience. With driving rhythms between the bass and drums, layered with catchy and uplifting guitar riffs, ‘TV’ is a song that will get in your head and get you moving on a dancefloor.
It was recorded by Lance Robinson (Karnivool, Coldplay, 360) at Pavement Studios here in Perth, who did an excellent job in capturing the chemistry between the band members and getting some of that ephemeral live energy into the recording. Dolce Blue’s are striking out in 2020, with one of their previous 2020 releases ‘Nobody Asked’ getting national play on RTRFM and TripleJ Unearthed.
