Schofields brand new fourth single expresses the heartache of being stuck in the rut-ine of life. This relatable story is her first full band release that hits home hard. Chloe has come a long way from playing secretly in her bedroom. Since her first open mic night in Perth a few years ago, Chloe has hit the ground running in the West Australian scene.
Throughout the quiet release of her first three singles, Chloe played alongside local Indi/Pop artist Luke Fox, as well as mused the crowds as supporting act for Adam Harpaz, Teischa, Jordy Maxwell, Keeley Connolly and Clay Western. As well as supporting Kim Churchill later this Month.
'Holding On Too Long' was recorded at Norman Solander studios, where they produced a contrasting band track, still delivering the honesty and sophistication fans love from her work.
"I'd slowly started picking up my guitar again a few years ago and one day, for whatever reason, these lyrics came out of my head and onto paper so quickly."
Opening with familiar gentle acoustic guitar and deep story telling lyrics, the track is sung with catchy sing a long phrasing and beautiful harmonies. Carried throughout by a relaxing shuffle of the drums and euphoric lead guitar to truly support this tracks emotion.
"This song came to life after hitting a point where I felt dissatisfied and unfulfilled with where I was at in life. I'm a nurse by trade and felt so burnt out, felt like i had nothing to show for myself."
