BARDEAÚ LAUNCH VIDEO CLIP WITH DEBUT EP ‘LIKE A LION, LIKE AN EAGLE’ JUST AROUND THE CORNER8/28/2020
Bardeaú is the project of Perth local Griffin Reed-Lombardo, and after the unavoidable lockdown delay he is finally able to launch his debut EP ‘Like a Lion, Like an Eagle’. Starting as a small side project created mostly within his bedroom, after a year and a half of tinkering with his songs he formed a band with some of his close mates.
The EP has been a three year process of creation, recorded in Reed-Lombardo’s home studio with his father. Each track is a lyrical snapshot of where Griffin’s mind was during the writing process and features as much of the instrumentation as possible played by Griffin himself, adding an extra personal touch to the project. Guitars drive the alternatively melancholic and hopeful alternative rock that Bardeaú play, with keys and bass giving extra colour and texture over the grounding rhythms of the drums. All of this lays the base for Reed-Lombardo’s vocals to sit in as they explore the world through his eyes.
Although recorded at home, Michael Jelinek of Jelly Sound was brought in to help polish the mixes and master the EP. Now that ‘Like a Lion, Like an Eagle’ is ready for the world, Bardeaú are proud to launch their first video clip for 'Arthur', an exciting sneak peek into what lies around the corner. Celebrating the EP with a launch at SONAR Room in Fremantle on Friday September 4th, along side Freehand, Smol Fish and Georgia McAlpine, make sure to get down early! The EP will be available digitally on all major streaming platforms the same night as the launch show.
