Known for their orange shirted uniforms, dreamy synth tones and groovy saxophone hooks, The Atlas State are back with a brand new track 'See You Anyway'. The single follows the release of their self titled, debut EP earlier this year with a little added spice.
Recorded and produced with acclaimed producer Sam Ford (Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, GUM, Pond) the bands sound and songwriting has been taken to the next level. Listening to the track inspires a feeling of nostalgia and reminds me of something straight out of the late 70s or 80s - Joy Division is the first band that comes to mind.

The bed of psychedelic audio is made up of the perfect balance of guitar rhythm, saxophone riffs and astral synths, where the hypnotic vocals lay ever so elegantly. The track is written about being helplessly obsessed with another person and is based on personal experience which you can hear through the melancholy and passion embedded in each instrument.

Launching their event at The Bird this Wednesday the 2nd of December it would be a show worth catching. It has been a treat watching this bands sound evolve to where it is now and I am looking forward to more work from The Atlas State.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the track below.
